Message

Q: Who am I?

Ans:
Bible - When Moses asked (God) for his name he (God) answered "I am that I am"

Torah (1280 BC) - Hayah means "existed" or "was" in Hebrew; "ehyeh" is the first person singular present/future form. "Ehyeh asher ehyeh" is generally interpreted to mean "I am that I am"

Bhagvad Gita (17000 yrs BC) - Soham Mantra - When asked - Koham (Who are you), God answered Soham ( I am that) . Breath and feel - Soooo (inhale) and hummmmm (exhale). He exists in your every breath...

Isn't it amazing to see all the scriptures coming from same source by their similarity of message and still We fight on the name of the scriptures (religion)!!!

Jesus and Christianity

Jesus preached the philosophy of love and forgiveness. 'God ... is love', Jesus said. 'Ask, and you shall receive. Knock, and the door shall be opened. Seek, and you will find'. But he also said, 'If you ask me for bread, will I give you stone?', meaning probably that people often ask for one thing when what they really need is entirely something else.

When a crowd once rushed out eagerly to stone an 'immoral' woman, Jesus said, 'Let him who is without sin cast the first stone'. At other times, Jesus said, 'If someone slaps you on your left cheek, turn your other cheek to him', and 'Forgive, and forget'.

Today, Christianity as a religion is still well and alive, and growing in numbers. Sadly, it appears as though, as someone once remarked, 'the last Christian died on the cross'.

I am Happy....

I was in school once
I was told what's good, what's not
I learnt well, believed all that was taught
I became what others wanted me to
They were happy

I went to college next
Loved the moments, lived the moments
Tried everything, regreted nothing
I became what I wanted to be
I was happy

My first year of work
I dreamed big, I wanted all
I learnt well, believed all that was taught
I became what others wanted me to
They were not happy

Some more years into work
I dreamed big, I wanted all
I worked hard, I played dirty
I became what others wanted me to
I was not happy

More years and I made it big
I still had dreams, I wanted all
I worked hard, I worked clean
I became what others never wanted me to
They were not happy

I quit and gave it all up
I still have dreams, I want it all
I work hard, I work clean
I became what I wanted to be - Entrepreneur
I am happy.
Couldn't care less about them.

Relationship and Responsibility

Little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter, "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said, "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go." In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold urs...

Learn

The best thing for being sad is to learn something. That is the only thing which never fails. You may grow old and lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honor trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then - to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the thing for you.

Are we coming closer?

I remember this topic when I appeared for the group discussions for my M.B.A. entrance - "Are we coming closer or we are falling apart"
The technology advancement definitely brought the communication closer with no barriers like Boundaries, Culture, Language. Views are shared and expressed, Travels are made less painful and real fast compared to 17th century.
But didn't the same advancement of technology caused - Hiroshima?
And Communication - Is it really views or shareholder focused media agendas?
Are the travels not more fearful?
Disagreements will always be there regarding where we are today - closer to each other or apart if we judge it with parameters like Technology.
But on more granular level - the real question is - "Am I coming closer to myself?" or I am just disappearing... Am I closer to find any answers to my basic existence?
"Who am I ?"
I think answer to this question is more important and the time human will solve this mystery, then whether there is advancement of technology or not - it will not matter to him..

we all will be closer to ourselves and closer to each other...
