About Me

Canton, Michigan, United States
Recently did my first ever sledding - it was thrilling!!! and best part was although I was scared to death and afraid of loosing the control on snow board at such a speed ; my daughter, Akshata, who was sitting with me on sled...asked me to hold her as she was afraid (tooo)!!!! Now I could not afford to loose the control...can I? And finally I did it!!!! and she was sooooooo happy...she turned back while getting out of sled and said - "You are the Best Dad in this Whole Wide World!!!!!" Thank you god for everything....

Vada-Pav, Chai and back to Burgers

Anytime, I am watching CNN/Fox channels, its very depressing feeling with most of the news focusing their prime time on topics like - Gas prices, Job cuts, Foreclosures, Real estate market, Terrorism, Outsourcing impact, Crime in city and new health warnings!!!! Everyone in America is getting very sensitive about everything. Clients are getting ruthless and consulting firms are finding difficult to survive. Economy is tumbling. Clearly I was in need of a Break and yes, I had one - most memorable by all means!!!
Six weeks of vacation!!!! first 3 weeks Europe visit and then INDIA!!!

Europe was fascinating and also costly. Thanks to my tourist company for arranging such a wonderful tour and giving me all those lifetime memories. Every country was beautiful in its own way. GB, Belgium,Netherland,Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy and France!!! I visited Wimbledon. That just awakened all my childhood memories of that Final between Bijon Borg and McEnroe!!! Also visited Lords - "Mecca of Cricket" and saw Kohinoor!!! Never imagined anytime that I will be so close to history, never thought that GOD will be so kind to me. I was thrilled to see so many places in 3 weeks that I cannot even describe it in words. The entire Europe was so beautiful. Any place you look around is like greeting card landscapes. Italy was amazing. Walking through lanes of Rome, reminded me of Julius Caesar, Alexander - the great, Leonardo, Michelangelo and so many great personalities. It was as if, I was meeting those heroes and walking through history. Simply fascinating!!!!

Time flies and so those 3 weeks in Europe and then much awaited India visit after almost 8 yrs!!! Every moment was different and I still feel empty, when I think about those moments, relatives, friends, Crowd, Traffic, everything and anything about India. India is always known for its hospitality and this visit just confirmed the warm nature of people. India kept its core values intact even when she is progressing at such a high speed and fast rate. I found that Indians are just better at accepting the changes more easily. They are very tolerant about day to day issues of traffic jams/electricity etc. as if those issues dont exists and you get a feel that everyone is so happy and stress free, even if there are more issues and less resources available for them.

After such a lovely vacation, when I came back here, those express ways seemed so empty, worthless and lonely. I almost felt like calling all fellow Indians and ask them to flood the express ways with all those autos, two wheelers and Bicycles. Honk from everywhere and just make me feel at once - That I am alive!!!!
